Bean's Quest and Bean Dreams by Kumobius were big inspirations to me in becoming a game developer. I created a sort of demake of the game featuring a crappy rendition of Fortune Fields from Bean Dreams and a bunch of single-screen levels. Sadly the original bean games are no longer available. I wrote a blog post about them a while ago.
